FICTION, PLAYS AND POETRY
“I loved this piece… I knew this one would have to be the closer… it gave me flashbacks of greasy diners where I ate at 3:30 in the morning .” Craig Clevenger, Editor on Eternal Flame Diner, in the Diner Noir Anthology
FEATURED WORK

Jerkwater
With ten cents, a stolen train schedule, and a bruised little sister begging for the travelling circus, a 12-year-old boy plans his escape from his violent father. But the fair in the holler is where the dead come to claim their own.

Eternal Flame Diner
It’s 4am in a seedy Hell’s Kitchen diner. A twitchy young man with his hand in his pocket and a score to settle walks in, and everyone behind the counter and in the booths is about to be forced to reveal what they’ve been holding back.
Digit: Cave Bear
A rain-soaked Manhattan season erodes Central Park’s veneer, revealing its glacial origin. Helen has spent years hunting the park for the bones of an extinct Ice Age bear, and no one at the Museum of Natural History respects her. When her soon-to-be replacement uncovers what she’s been looking for, she keeps it to herself. Then he vanishes, and she becomes both the hunter and the hunted.
